New Commissions at Tinderbox

Tinderbox is delighted to commission new plays from Stacey Gregg, Rosemary Jenkinson and David Ireland for full scale productions. It is particularly exciting to be able to build on previous collaborations with each of these writers. Stacey and Rosemary were part of the writers’ team behind Bruised which Tinderbox produced in 2008 and David’s studio production Everything Between Us was recently part of the TRUE NORTH studio season of new work. It is part of Tinderbox strategy to have a continued relationship with writers spanning from studio or collaborative work to full scale productions.
As part of this strategy we have also optioned two writers to work on ideas for a potential commission for us: Paul Kennedy who was part of the Writers Lab in the summer of 2010 and Noel McCann whose play And Then She Smiles Tinderbox presented as a rehearsed reading as part of Sundays In The City 2010.
These writers join Patrick J O’Reilly who has recently started his year as Writer on Attachment at Tinderbox and Jimmy McAleavey who is working with us on our Turning the Page project.
