Turning The Page

Tinderbox’s new Outreach Project Turning the Page has begun in earnest this month. The project has been boosted by the involvement of playwright Jimmy McAleavey who will be passing on his experience to participants throughout the project.

An innovative new approach to community theatre, Turning the Page will see groups from divided communities create and exchange new writing for performance, with the aim to enhance trust and understanding.

The project is led by Tinderbox Outreach Director Ciaran McQuillan. Ciaran and Jimmy will be working with three pairs of cross community groups, assisting them to write, exchange and perform each other’s work.

Turning the Page is a 2 year project supported by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation which will culminate in a publication of the work created. For more information on the project contact Ciaran.McQuillan@Tinderbox.org.uk
