Tinderbox to Perform at Stormont

Tinderbox has been specially commissioned to create and perform a new work in Stormont on behalf of the Pilgrim Trust. Written by Julie Dutkiewicz the piece will highlight issues regarding women in the criminal justice system.

New Year for Turning the Page

The second stage of Tinderbox’s innovative community writing exchange programme, Turning the Page starts in February. Groups from East Belfast Mission will be taking part in writing workshops to create their own monologues which will be exchanged and performed by their partner group.

Revolution Gets Under Way

The second year of Tinderbox’s youth theatre programme Revolution has got under way with youth groups from across Belfast and North Down. Last year’s Revolution saw the performance of RJ’s Leaving Day in the Grand Opera House and The Long Gallery in Stormont.

This year Groups including the Frank Gillen Centre, The Foster Carers Association and Holywood AEP are devising new scripts and performing them in a showcase later in the spring.

360º Script Writing Festival 2012

The booking are now open for this years’ 360º Script Writing Festival organised by Tinderbox Theatre Company and BBC NI. The festival runs 25th to the 27th of January and features a range of talks and workshops. The workshops are free but it is essential to book your place.
