Revolution Gets Under Way

Posted on 12 January 2012 in Outreach

The second year of Tinderbox’s youth theatre programme Revolution has got under way with youth groups from across Belfast and North Down. Last year’s Revolution saw the performance of RJ’s Leaving Day in the Grand Opera House and The Long Gallery in Stormont.

This year Groups including the Frank Gillen Centre, The Foster Carers Association and Holywood AEP are devising new scripts and performing them in a showcase later in the spring.

The project will guide participants through the process of devising a piece of theatre around a topic which is important to each group. Then the challenge will be to rehearse and stage the play before an invited audience. Each group will work separately before coming together to showcase their new plays in April.

Dates of the performance will appear here once confirmed.
