Tinderbox will performing Blue for a Boy by Julie Dutkiewicz at the Ulster Hall on the 10th May, as part of the 15 Minutes “very short play festival,” to mark the 150th Anniversay of the Ulster Hall.

Ten local companies including Accidental Theatre, Wireless Mystery Theatre, Kabosh, and Fishamble perform new fifteen minute plays over two nights. Five plays are performed each evening.

Tinderbox will perform Blue for a Boy on Thursday 10th May. Written by Julie Dutkiewicz and performed by Bernadette Brown, Blue for a Boy looks at the reasons behind why some women offend, the particular impacts a custodial sentence can have on women’s lives and the benefits of a community based approach to working with women offenders. The play also highlights how offending behaviour can be passed on within a family and how this cycle may be broken.
