Fireworks Showcase 22nd and 23rd March

CONVERGENCE PERFORMANCES – YOU ARE HERE

The CONVERGENCE ENSEMBLE has been developing new writing for performance since its formation in September 2015, and now presents work for the first time. Shows take place over three nights: 11th to 13th March, at the Crescent Arts Centre, The Barracks, and the Sunflower Public House.

Lally The Scut Writer Abbie Spallen wins Major International Prize

Posted on 1 March 2016 in Dramaturgy Tinderbox Theatre Company is delighted to announce that Irish playwright, Abbie Spallen, is one of 2016’s recipients of Yale University’s Donald Windham-Sandy M. Campbell Literature Prizes – a major literary award recognising literary achievement and financially nurturing talent. The prestigious prize has an international reach with Spallen now joining the ranks of previous winners such as award-winning playwright and screenwriter Debbie Tucker Green (Stoning Mary, Truth and Reconciliation) and critically acclaimed Helen Edmundson (Blood and Light, Anna Karenina). Writers of fiction, drama, and nonfiction who write in English from anywhere in the world are eligible. This prize is also great recognition for Tinderbox Theatre Company, its programming and tireless support of talent in Northern Ireland.
