Tinderbox Theatre Company is delighted to announce two new team members: Patrick J O’Reilly as Artistic Director and Jen Shepherd as Producer.

Patrick J O’Reilly has a proven and impressive track record as a director, writer and performer both internationally and in Ireland.  He brings an exciting new artistic vision to the company of making extraordinary, innovative and entertaining new work for Northern Ireland and beyond. Patrick trained at the Le Coq International school in Paris and was previously the artistic director of Red Lemon Theatre Company. He has a passionate belief that participation, access to excellence and innovation and rigorous dramaturgy is integral to making ground breaking new work.

Jen Shepherd has a wealth of experience of producing and touring both large and small scale work nationally and internationally. She brings to the company an in depth-understanding of the process of making new work, a meticulous eye for detail and above all, an ethos of respect and care towards everyone we engage with: artists, crew, participants, audiences and funders.

Jen and Patrick will join dramaturg Hanna Slattne and Connect Director Don Mc Camphill to complete the team to build on the exceptional legacy of outgoing Artistic Director Michael Duke and General Manager Kerry Woods who led the company for 12 years and established its international reputation.

Thanks to their support and careful guidance in this transition, Tinderbox is launching straight into its first exciting new initiatives: Ignition and State of The Arts.
