Esmée Fairbairn New Stages Programme 2008 – 2011
Tinderbox is delighted to be funded by the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation to run an innovative programme of initiatives which is aimed to support artists and build a reservoir of new work and accomplished artists for the new stages: studio and mainstages opening in Belfast in 2011 in several new art venues.
The programme consists of 4 parts:
The New Stages Studio production – small scale work developed for studio spaces
New Stages Writer in Attachment programme – a year long opportunity for an emerging writer to take part in the full activities at Tinderbox. The attachment includes half a commission fee and an education fund for the writer to spend on developing their craft.
New Stages Development fund for artistic collaborations – provides invited writers with the opportunity to explore their work together with other artists on the floor to further the work, explore new ways of working and develop the artists in the room.
New Stages Commission – contributing towards a playwright’s Commission
