Tinderbox are delighted to announce that the open call for our hugely successful Play Machine programme 2019/2020 is now open for submissions. (Deadline for applicants 1st August)

Play Machine is a Belfast training school for performers, writers and theatre makers wishing to engage with the art of Play to explore and create new performance for local and international audiences. Now running for its 3rd year, this intensive and liberating engagement with the dynamics of play is appropriate for all actors, dancers, directors, writers and designers with all levels of theatrical experience.

The training includes:

Improvisation and Devising techniques
Elements/ Object Manipulation
Physical Theatre and Choreography
Writing for Theatre and Dramaturgy

Play Machine will commence on the 15th September at the Crescent Arts Centre and will run for 6 months in total. (March 2020) – The training will culminate with a unique performance event Ignition in June 2020 which will showcase selected artists work.

6 Months Training – total fee £600.00
