Autumn Intensive at the Crescent Arts Centre

Tinderbox Theatre Company in partnership with the Crescent Arts Centre are thrilled to announce The Ghost in the Play Machine programme; a 12 week theatre making programme – Tuesdays 5-7pm

The Ghost in the Play Machine programme:

Using The Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Perkins Gilman as stimulus for the programme, the Ghost in the Play Machine will explore the fundamentals of devising from short story/prose and explore the imaginations, limitations and manipulations of the body, mind and space to create an unforgettable process in contemporary theatre making. 

The 12 week programme will explore 

The Intensive includes: 

  • Devising theatre
  • Improvisation
  • Movement/physical theatre
  • Animality
  • Object and Spatial Manipulation
  • Surrealism and Theatre of the Absurd

The programme  will be delivered by Tinderbox’s Artistic Director and award winning writer, Patrick J O’Reilly and Creative Development Practitioner, Ciaran Haggerty.  

In addition to the training, the Creative Development Practitioner will also provide individual feedback on your creative process with a full Evaluation at the end of the programme. 

Fee for the programme is £200.00 -15 spaces available. The programme will take place at the Crescent Arts Centre, Belfast.
