Tinderbox is delighted to launch their unique theatre training programme Play Machine from September 2017. Play Machine is a training school for performers, writers and theatre makers wishing to engage with multi-disciplinary art forms and devising processes to create new work for local and international audiences.

The course includes:

  • Movement and dynamics in space
  • Elements/ object manipulation
  • Improvisation
  • Physical theatre methodologies
  • Devising from text
  • Choreography
  • Dramaturgy
  • Writing for the theatre
  • Community enrichment

A full term of Sunday and Thursday evening workshops, led by Artistic Director Patrick J O’Reilly and guest facilitators, which will lead to a devised production at the end of the second term. This intensive and practical course is catered for participants wishing to develop the ability to play, explore and create new theatre.

Students are expected to attend every session. Thursday evenings are specifically for improvisation classes.

Fee for 24 weeks: £350
