Artistic Connections

Our artistic programming happens through connection with artists, reflections on the ‘state-of-play’ politically, socially and environmentally, and through conversations with our Team and Board.

If you are an artist, the best way to engage with us is

  • For actors- through our Open Call Casting Windows (advertised through our social media, mailing list, and website).

  • By taking part in Play Machine or Hap School

  • By applying to Incubate

  • Coming to our shows and introducing yourself

  • If you’d like to book a 30-minute zoom or coffee with one of us, please get in touch.

Broadly, Tinderbox work with artists by taking projects from seed to fruition. We are interested in artists and ideas, more than fully formed scripts.

For this reason, we do not accept unsolicited theatre scripts. Although we wish to encourage every artist and writer, and fully believe in the power of art, writing and theatre, we do not have the capacity to read scripts and offer genuine feedback. If you are a playwright, please do not be discouraged by this. It is really not personal, it is more a reflection of our own company’s time and process.

We can very occasionally offer mentoring, guidance and support to artists, depending on our capacity and commitments.

We look forward to connecting with you!
