Seized on the streets of Beirut, three ordinary men are thrown into a windowless cell where insanity casts a shadow around the walls. Fighting their way through fear, humiliation and hatred, they find their only form of liberation in comic conversations about football, movies, booze and even a delirious rendition of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. As the enemy comes, faceless but armed, alliances shift and friendships are threatened, until each man learns that out of unity comes courage, love and ultimately hope.

In this humorous but sobering play, Frank McGuinness gives a realistic portrayal of fear and desperation felt by three innocent men at the mercy of insanity and death.
